My Favourite Season: Winter

My favourite season is winter. It is the first season of the year. It comes in the months of November, December, January and February. During these months, the weather is pleasant and cool.

In winter, the mornings and nights are cold. We wear warm clothes like sweaters, jackets and caps. Warm clothes keep us safe from the cold. The days are bright and sunny, so we feel fresh throughout the day.

Winter is a good season for health. We can do exercise, go for morning walks and play outdoor games easily. The cool air makes us active and happy. In this season, we get many fresh vegetables. Farmers harvest their crops during this time.

Many festivals are celebrated in winter. I like winter very much because it is pleasant, healthy and full of joy.

Trees are useful in curing many diseases. Birds build their nests in trees. Even animals depend on trees for their food. Trees give us cool shade. People often rest under trees during hot days. Trees make our surroundings beautiful. They keep the environment clean and purify the air. Trees attract rain clouds. Without trees, there would be less rain. They prevent soil erosion by holding the soil with their roots. Trees are our natural wealth. They give us life and support many living beings. Therefore, we must not cut down trees. Instead, we should plant more trees and protect them.
